ABOUT DR. URIARTE'S TECHNIQUE

"I have already started to work on two of my clients using the MyoKinesthetic treatment and they are already seeing changes in their bodies in just one session. Super Cool. FYI - the day after you worked on me at the seminar I went golfing with a friend and I could not believe how great my back was feeling. That golf game was only one of 5 this whole summer because of back pain. (I usually play 2 times a week) All of those times were only for 9 holes because my back gets so sore and stiff. This time I played 18 with no fatigue at all, was totally relaxed the whole game, even though I walked and carried my bag. I shot an 81, which is about what I shoot when I am playing a lot. I would say that after that one treatment, 60% of my back pain was totally gone. Thank you from the bottom of my heart." Nils, Washington

We know that the brain works off negative feedback. Each time we stand up to gravity the brain receives information from the rest of the body parts. If we had just fallen down or lifted something incorrectly, and a muscle on the left went short therefore a muscle on the right lengthened, these two muscles tell the brain where they are relative to gravity. The brain must then tell other muscles to either contract or relax above and below this area so that this person can stand as straight as possible with the most range of motion in each joint and with the least amount of pain. So there is a cause and compensation.

With the MyoKinesthetic System we are trying to find the cause and clear it so then all the compensations will clear. We are going to stimulate each muscle along one nerve pathway. The stimulation can be deep, light, cross friction, static, glide, etc. We can treat the origin, insertion, belly or all 3, it does not matter. We are looking for the nerve endings within each of these muscles to fire and send a signal to the brain that say's "there is a change happening here." The brain receives this information and makes changes to it. Therefore the person stands up more balanced, with greater range of motion and a decrease in pain that lasts.

This is NOT a repackaged technique. We stretch and stimulate the muscles we are treating, so any technique that uses stretching may have some similarities. For example: If I wanted to stretch the biceps, I would have to extend the elbow, and I can do this while standing, sitting, lying on the back, lying on the stomach, lying on the side etc. the end result is extending the elbow to stretch the bicep. The MAJOR difference is in the actual treatment, WHICH muscles we treat together to clear the entire peripheral nervous system pathway. I have taught MD's, DC's, DO's, PT's, MT's, AT's, Nurses, OT's, and they all say the same thing once they understand the theory and treatment, "There is NOTHING out there like this technique."

This is not Chiropractic. At no time do we manipulate or "pop" bones, we only work on the muscles. This is a hands on technique, with no hand held instruments or electronic devices to purchase. This is so easy to perform, my kids can do all the treatments.

The MyoKinesthetic System (1) Alleviates Pain (2) Restores Function/Movement (3) Improves and Balances Posture (4) Resets the body and (5) Clears Compensations in less than 15 minutes. How can this work so quickly? We focus on the nervous system while working on the muscular system.

This is a simple technique to learn. We cover all the muscles and all the peripheral nerves along with a technique to specifically impact both. Because this is a soft tissue technique, I began teaching to massage therapist and was only approved for massage ceu's for the first 6-7 years of teaching. Now we are also approved for Chiropractic, Physical therapy and Athletic Trainer ceu's as well. If you are learning the nervous system information for the first time, I have never "lost" anyone in class; or if this is a review of the nervous system and muscles, you won't be "bored" in class. The most common response I get to the class is "I had a good time and learned a lot." That goes with my philosophy of teaching..."You cannot learn if you are not having fun!"

The nervous system is not exclusive to any one healthcare profession. A medical doctor will influence a nerve or the nervous system with a shot or medication. A chiropractor will influence a nerve root or the nervous system with an adjustment. Dr. Uriarte has developed a way to influence specific peripheral nerves and the nervous system by manipulating the muscles. Dr. Mike has expanded his Chiropractic education to develop this technique. The MyoKinesthetic System is another way to influence the nervous system via the muscular system. All healthcare professions could use this information and technique, since we are using the muscular system as the tool to influence the nervous system.

This is an easy to learn technique, designed to affect the nervous system at the nerve root level. It is a treatment designed to quickly and efficiently eliminate a patients chronic and acute symptoms. The results have been enormously successful.

We have been doing research and development on this technique for over 15 years. This is the most extensive Peripheral Nervous System information available. This technique is muscle and nerve specific. You will learn the nerve roots, how these nerve roots combine to form nerves, where these nerves travel, which muscles can impinge upon these nerves and which muscles are innervated by these nerve roots. The MyoKinesthetic System re-educates the muscles on a neurological level to accelerate the healing process.

Did you know that if you do not clear the abnormal muscle memory of the teres major and infraspinatus muscles along with 39 other muscles, you are not completely treating someone for carpal tunnel? Did you know that if you do not re-educate the piriformis and gluteus minimus muscles along with 32 other muscles, you are not giving that person a full treatment to help with plantar fasciitis?

How do we know to treat these particular muscles? Because these particular muscles are innervated by the same nerve root. A nerve root is the junction between the central nervous system (CNS-brain and spinal cord) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS-outside the spine) Each nerve root gives off named nerves. These named nerves innervate (talk to) the muscles and tell them to contract or relax. By grouping the muscles according to their nerve root innervation, we can open up the communication between the CNS and PNS. Once this is done, the body begins to right its problems and heal itself. The MyoKinesthetic System stimulates every muscle along the same nerve root pathway, so you begin to treat specific problems effortlessly.

When we give a treatment to a patient, one thing we are trying to do is get the nerve endings within the muscles that we treat to send a signal to the brain that there has been a change. If we treat all the muscles along one nerve pathway, we can clear any impingement along the peripheral nervous system (PNS) to the nerve root. This information gets sent to the brain and the brain sends information back to other muscles to either contract or relax based on the work we have done. So if we can get to the nervous system "cause" of a patients problem, we can clear their compensations as well.

The stimulation we use to get the nerve endings within the muscles to "fire" information back to the brain can vary. You can do very light stimulation, deep painful stimulation, you can use a gliding motion, static pressure, cross friction...it does not matter. A Big factor for many is  No Thumb Work is needed to do this technique. Also in order for the nerve endings to fire, you only have to stimulate the origin, or the insertion or the belly of the muscle, you don't have to stimulate all three in order to get a change. We are working on the muscles, but we are not focusing on the muscles, our focus is to get a change in the nervous system. This is the true POWER of the technique, not HOW we are treating each muscle, but which muscles are we treating together to get a more specific response in the nervous system.

We will review, reinforce and build on your current knowledge of the body. We will take you to a new level of information, so you can take your practice to a new level of care. This system will provide you with the confidence to treat a wider range of conditions. Referrals will consistently increase from both patients and other practitioners.

"I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for such a great class. I really learned a lot and am glad that I stuck to taking the class. With my grandmother's passing and long travels back to CO from MN, I started having second thoughts. I feel really fortunate that I did make it to your class. You made me laugh out loud at a time when I was feeling really blue. I was able to redirect my focus on doing what I'm supposed to do on this planet (I loved that story you shared). Thanks for the inspiration!  Angie, CO

Our main goal is to get people better.

Helping the patient is the number one goal of the healthcare professional. If you concentrate on getting people better, more people will come to you, referrals will increase and the benefit to you is an unlimited income. A normal treatment takes anywhere from 3-15 minutes depending on your mastery of the material. This technique helps with both acute and chronic conditions.
